Top Ten Reasons

Whether you're new to London, rediscovering church, or just interested in learning more about God, here are the Top Ten reasons you should come to Village Green!

1.  Alive and Growing

Things are happening here. We're growing and serving, and God is working among us. Jon Korkidakis recently joined us as our Lead Pastor, and we're excited about what the Lord has in store for us!

2.  Not Too Big, Not Too Small

Coming from a variety of faith and cultural backgrounds, we're a congregation of about 150 people. Which means we're big enough to make a joyful noise, but small enough that you can actually get to know people.

3.  You're Very Welcome

The most common reaction of newcomers to Village Green is “This is a really friendly church!” That's because we not only love each other - we genuinely like each other! And we like making new friends too. So check us out ... you're sure to feel welcome!

4.  Super Sundays

Our worship teams will lead you - in quiet contemplation and joyful praise - into the presence of God. Our music is contemporary (with a touch of the traditional), and our preaching is thought-provoking and relevant. You'll go home on Sunday recharged, equipped and challenged for the week ahead!

5.  It Takes a "Village" ...

We've got great nursery, pre-school programs (Sonshine Kids and Rainbow Kids) and a vibrant Kids Connection. Equally importantly, the people of Village Green are committed to, and involved in the lives of, our children. It really does take a "Village" to raise a child!

6.  Small Groups

We're deeply committed to small groups. Last year, over 70% of our people regularly attended a LIFE group. So yes - Sunday mornings are important for worship, learning and renewal. But the really good stuff ... caring and being cared for, studying the Bible, growing in faith, learning new skills, serving, praying and laughing together ... it all happens in the LIFE groups.

7.  In The World ...

Church isn't a place to hide from the world. People come on Sundays to connect, grow and recharge; then they go out and make a difference. What you will find is encouragement to be salt and light among your neighbours, friends and co-workers ... to be in the world, but not of the world.

8.  Timeless Truths, Total Relevance

Village Green is an evangelical church, committed to the timeless truths of the Bible. [Feel free to check out our Statement of Faith.] But the world has also changed a lot in the past 2000 years. That's why we work hard to apply the Message to the challenges of today's post-modern culture.

9.  Youth Movement

Our Junior High, Senior High and Young Adults groups are learning, growing, serving ... and having fun together. They're also an integral part of our faith community. We encourage cross-generational relationships while recognizing the unique social and spiritual needs of each age group.

10. Location, Location, Location

We're located in the Westmount area of London, close to where you live, shop and pick up that all-important double-double. We've got lots of parking, and we're right on the Southcrest bus route. Why don't you stop by and check us out?
