Jon Korkidakis

Jon Korkidakis, Lead Pastor

Jon joined Village Green as Lead Pastor in April 2008. He grew up in London and has - at various times - worked in his family's bakery business, sung in a rock band and most recently, planted and pastored Masonville Community Church. Jon is also an adjunct professor at Heritage College and Seminary in Cambridge Ontario specializing in biblical studies.

Sarah Hekman

Sarah Hekman, Worship Arts Coordinator

Sarah grew up in London and attended UWO where she completed her teaching degree. After 3 years of teaching in Christian schools, she decided to pursue other interests after the birth of her daughters Anna (June 2008) and Lydia (March 2010). She has been leading worship since the age of eighteen, and completed a School of Worship in Kona, Hawaii. She currently teaches piano, is a wedding pianist and supply teaches on occasion. Sarah is thankful for the opportunity to do what she loves - leading worship and seeing God work in lives.

Sarah loves being a wife and mom raising her daughters Anna and Lydia. She also enjoys being outdoors, playing sports, and spending time with her husband Dave."

Jeff Hopkins

Jeff Hopkins, Youth Coordinator

Jeff was born and raised in London. He is married to Brittany and is enjoying the married life. He has been involved in Youth Ministry since the age of 17 when he started to lead in his own youth group and from there became involved in the Youth Alpha course. This course has taken him all over Canada and even to London, England. Jeff attended Emmanuel Bible College where he studied Youth Ministry, graduating in 2009.

Jeff enjoys spending time with people, skateboarding, skiing and several “extreme” sports. His greatest passion, however, is seeing young people grow to know and love the Lord in new and exciting ways.

Matt Loveday

Matt Loveday, Strategic Ministry Coordinator

Matt was born in Woodstock, Ontario but spent much of his childhood living with his family in Kenya, East Africa. After completing a degree in Religion and Culture from Wilfred Laurier University he spent some time traveling in Australia before attending Dallas Theological Seminary. Matt has enjoyed serving in church ministry since 2001 and started work with Village Green in November of 2010. His passion is to see bridges built between church and community, linking people to the truth of Jesus Christ and seeing lives transformed by God's saving grace.

Matt enjoys going for walks with his wife Christine and son Gabriel, lounging on the couch to watch a good movie, eating spicy hot chicken wings, the feeling of true contentment and playing sports of any kind.

Sue Das

Sue Das, Office Administrator

Sue grew up in South Africa, and has an Honours degree in Social Work from the University of Cape Town. She has served at Village Green in many capacities, most recently as a Board member. She is actively involved in leading worship.

Sue is married to Chris, has 2 sons (James and Jonathan), a dog (Simba) and a gerbil (Freddie).

Ray Abernethy

Ray Abernethy, Custodian

Ray was born in Vancouver and raised in Alberta, where he spent time on the oil rigs. After a stint in the army, he moved to Ontario in 1981. Ray worked for years as a landscaper and got degrees in Horticulture & Landscaping. He accepted the Lord in 1994, joined Village Green and has been our custodian and groundskeeper since 1996.

Ray enjoys swimming, weightlifting, boxing, hockey and ... surprise, surprise ... landscaping!
