Jesus' words concerning the Pharisee's provide a clear warning to all of us who run the risk of focusing too much on our religion and not enough on our relationship with our God. Living in relationship with God will lead us beyond religious morality into a life lived in loving mercy - one that will fashion us in His likeness.
