Missions

At Village Green, we're committed to serving those who are less fortunate and sharing the love and good news of Jesus Christ. We support both individuals and organizations that are serving and sharing at the local, national and international levels, and we pray for them regularly. Over the past decade, an average of 28% of regular offerings have been committed to supporting missions. We also actively encourage our people to participate in short-term mission experiences.

One or more people at Village Green are personally connected and involved with each of these organizations.

Tyndale Seminary

Tyndale Seminary

Tyndale Seminary in Toronto encourages its staff to support theological training around the world. Some of their professors annually visit the South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies (SAIACS), an institute for postgraduate theological studies and research located in Bangalore, India. SAIACS strives for biblical and contextually relevant learning so that the students will make a meaningful and significant impact in their respective contexts for the glory of God.

Don Leggett - a long-time professor at Tyndale Seminary and former pastor of Village Green - along with his wife Linda, have travelled several times to Bangalore to teach and support this vital ministry as have others from Tyndale. We provide funding for theological books for SAIAC's library to accompany those offering their time to go and teach.   <<website>>

Short-Term Missions

Every year, Village Green helps to fund short-term mission trips for people connected to our congregation. In 2007 we supported Jennifer Charlton, who went to Taiwan as an ESL teacher.
