Mike was raised in Chatham and moved to Windsor to attend university. There he met his wife Sue. Mike began his career as an injection mold designer in Windsor in 1979. With 3 young children, they moved to London in 1987. Mike worked for 30 years in the automotive industry as a designer and project manager. More recently, Mike has discovered there is no shortage of things to do at home, at church and in the community. He looks forward to discovering all that God has for him to do. |

Family:
Married to Sue for 31 years, father to three musician sons Evan, Jon and Matthew. Father-in-law to the lovely Amanda.
Favourite verse:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding,
in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight."
[Proverbs 3:5-6]
Passions:
I look forward every month to serving people at Ark Aid Mission. It never ceases to amaze me how many needy people there are in our city and how a listening ear and caring word can brighten their day. Sue and I love to have people in our home and share in their lives. Music has always been a big part of my life, and I’m excited to see my sons use their musical talents in many different ways.
Serving:
Sue and I have led LIFE groups at VG for the past 6 years. We are currently leading a service group which volunteers at various service organizations in London. I have also served as a sound technician at VG for many years. I was blessed to have the opportunity to participate in the DVBS program last summer.
Faith journey:
I was raised in a loving Christian home and attended church from a very early age. In my teens, I became involved in the youth group at my church and after an inspiring weekend youth retreat, I gave my life to God. I began a wonderful faith journey with Christ. This relationship has continued to grow through the years, strengthened by many life experiences.
Little-known fact:
I love watching hockey (especially the Canadiens) but have never played.
Perfect day:
Laying on a beach in Mexico with a good book.
I'd like to say to the people of VG:
Let's all be open-minded about the great things that God wants to do in and through us as individuals and as a church community. Say "yes" to opportunities to create an environment that will draw people to God’s unconditional love. Please pray for the men and women who serve at Village Green. May we constantly seek what God wants for our church and for the people God would have us reach in our community.
