Since 2002, Village Green has been making its "back yard" available for use as community gardens.

There are currently 30 plots under cultivation, each approximately 300 square feet. The plots are rented out to individuals and families that want to grow their own food, get a little exercise and meet people in the neighbourhood. The rental fee is geared to income, with price ranging from $15 to $40 per year. [The garden is administered by the London Community Resource Centre with funding from the City of London.]
