Future Plans: A Blueprint for Village Green

Welcome! A blueprint typically represents a visual picture of a proposed future – whether it’s a building, a landscape, or even a vision.

At Village Green we are using the imagery of a blueprint to illustrate a proposed future; one that has been shaped over the last couple of years as we have considered how we can meet the demands of the growth we have been experiencing.

The newsletters and updates that you find here will serve three purposes:

First, they help to give you the “why” for what is being proposed. Any type of renovation or expansion is costly, both in terms of time and money. No one wants to expend these resources without a conviction that the expenditure will help to further the mission of the church. We want to make sure that anything we endeavour to accomplish as a church serves to complement our mission to “Love God, love Others, Change the World.”

Secondly, they give you the “what”. Filtered through a number of groups, from leadership to our Logistics team, a strategy has been crafted that includes a plan for expanding our present facility. We are working with a Project Manager and other professionals to maximize our resources in order to accomplish what needs to be done in a timely and cost-effective manner. As those plans materialize we will make them available so you can get a visual picture of what the projected addition will look like and how it will help facilitate a greater opportunity for ministry.

Thirdly, they will help to answer the remaining questions that will arise over time. We will be giving timely updates of our progress, keeping you informed every step of the way. There is a lot of work ahead of us, but we have a committed team who is dedicated to making the next steps a reality. The challenges are real, but the need to press forward in faith is even greater.

We hope that you will be greatly encouraged by what you read here. These are exciting times for Village Green but change is never easy. May you prayerfully be challenged on how you are to be a part of this significant time in the life of the church, a time where we are experiencing God working in remarkable ways. Many of you are getting involved, and we thank you for the personal commitment you are already making to the vision being presented by this Blueprint.
